Patrick Buchanan, analyst for MSNBC, says that President of Columbia University made a "FOOL" of himself.
Buchanan has been very outspoken on the subject of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He has suggested that the President of Iran should have been allowed to visit the site of 9/11 when the Iranian leader wanted to place a wreath at the ground zero location. His request to visit the site was denied and the President of Iran was banned.
Then, we got the Columbia issue, where Buchanan, who is a Columbia Alum, made it clear he agreed that the President of Iran should be allowed to speak. Now, after the event, many people are talking about the issue and Buchanan is giving Ahmadinejad a lot of credit.
Patrick Buchanan made it clear that Ahmadinejad did not deny the Holocaust, but suggested it was a problem that occurred in Europe. The Palestinians have been suffering for 60 years because of the Holocaust. Overall, this was a very interesting news day.
It will be interesting to see how the networks cover the story.
What is Fox news saying?
Buchanan had to make sure to suggest that he was not running for the presidential nomination earlier today on MSNBC.
He was a candidate for President previously.
Buchanan has also been very outspoken on the fact that he believes this administration may be trying to proceed militarily against Iran before the George W. Bush term is over. This may be the reason why he is so outspoken on obtaining better communication and diplomacy towards Iran.
I would love to see another Patrick Buchanan run for President!
The Republicans are having a hard time. Who do they have? Duncan Hunter, Rudy Giuliani, and now the new/old candidate Fred Thompson.
What did Columbia University President Bollinger say?
What was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Response?
What about visiting Ground Zero?
