The new Osama Bin Laden video has been released and there are people online debating whether it is real or a Hoax -even some Right Wing conservative public radio talk shows are discussing the strange video.
Now that the video is released, there are many people doubting its authenticity. US intelligence community is publicly saying that the video is Osama bin Laden and that it is his voice. Other people are suggesting the content sounds like he is being given Democratic talking points. Some have suggested it may be the written work of someone other than bin Laden - someone such as Adam Gadahn, the American Terrorist. Adam or Azzam the American, as he may be known, is promoted online as the spokesman for Osama bin Laden for the English-speaking audience. Some have questioned whether Adam Gadahn is actually part of Al-Qaeda or a covert Mossad agent.
Check out this link about Azzam The American , AKA Adam Pearlman.
The FBI list Gadahn's aliases as Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki, Abu Suhayb, Yihya Majadin Adams, Adam Pearlman, and Yayah.
Going back to the content, there are alot of strange references. I fail to see why a Religious Fundamentalist would care about interest rates in the United States. He is concerned about mortgage prices and the foreclosure of real estate! The other issue that "Bin Laden" is concerned about is global warming? Fundamentalists tend to not worry about the fate of the world and the universe because they have a very distant attitude. They tend to think that the world was created by God and therefore it is unnecessary to ponder about the destruction of the Earth by manly activities. According to conservative views, after the flood of Noah, no major calamity will bring about widespread destruction. Therefore, the idea of discussing global warming is beyond the norm.
Still, the major area of contention is "THE BEARD."
It is not the traditional activity for a religious person such as Osama Bin Laden to have his beard trimmed. Having your beard trimmed or cut is a disgrace or dishonor. To have your beard cut would be the same as a Samurai having their hairlock trimmed or a native American Indian having their hair tails cut of Rastafarian losing his dreads! Whatever way you wanna look at it.
The other issue is the dying of the hair. Dying of the hair is allowed in Islam, it is not prohibited for men. There are certain rules however. The dye should be a color other than black. Read my analysis and proofs in pictures of Bin Laden through the years. Check out Bin Laden's beard in progress in my previous blog.
As for the argument that is being supported in the intelligence community and in the press, about the black beard, I believe they are incorrect. The intelligence community is suggesting that the use of black is being done to give him a youthful appearance. This is something that a person of his religious caliber would not do. Grey in the beard represents light and wisdom.
Some are suggesting that there is an exception to dye your beard black if your intent is for Jiahd. Yes, this is a valid exception. The media and press have jumped on this angle because it goes right into the fear component of the story. Yet, it is incumbent upon me to explain the way of the Mujahid -to elucidate the warrior code or the Bushido of the Warrior. The Sunnah or traditional way of the prophet is how Osama Bin Laden regulates his life.
If you are in active engagement with opposing armies you may use the black as a form of intimidation. However, it is part of a package. For example, if the intent is to terrorize the enemy by your appearances, then you follow the full grooming ritual -that includes dying the beard black , along with the hair. The other point that is necessary to clarify is if you follow this method, you do not trim your beard or cut your hair or even cut your finger nails. You leave yourself in an unkempt, un-groomed manner. More importantly, if you are in this state or physical appearance, you would wear a black turban and not the white turban to have the complete image. The black turban is the symbol of the warrior . If you are wearing the white turban, then your message should be interpreted as a peaceful message and not a threatening one. I am not suggesting that bin Laden's previous videos were messages of peace!
My main issue is that for the black beard dye argument to be valid, the hair would not be cut and the turban should be black, according to the original traditions.
The whole video and language does not make sense.
Here is an audio clip of me talking to Doctor Michael Savage on the Savage Nation radio show.
Audio from September 7th, 2007.
Listen to Dr. Michael Savage agree that the beard looks fake and the language syntax is not that of Osama bin Laden, in his opinion.
