Is Arnold Schwarzenegger Running as Independent Secretary of State for Bloomberg
Is Arnold Schwarzenegger running for Secretary of State?
The latest developments in US politics are getting interesting. We are seeing the birth of a whole new era. Not just in the States but elsewhere as well. Former Prime minister Tony Blair spent the day with California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about climate control. Blair has just been designated Middle East ambassador for lack of a better term. There is growing need fro better communication and dialog with the Middle East and a desire for all involved to find some solution to the Palestinian Israeli conflict.
Last week Michael Bloomberg announced that he was leaving the Republican party and he became "unaffiliated". This will allow him to run as an independent. Many people are discussing the possibility of a Bloomberg - Hagel ticket as the Unity '08 alternative. Yet where does that place Arnold Schwarzenegger? We saw Arnold Schwarzenegger placed on the cover of Time next to Bloomberg just last week. The title of "Who Needs Washington?" is almost self explanatory. There is a clear sense in the country that people are tired of Washington, and maybe even the two party system!
Where does that leave Arnold Schwarzenegger?
