Ann Coulter the Political Wrestler Plays Hardball with Elizabeth Edwards

Ann_coulter_godless Yesterday the shock star Ann Coulter went on hardball with Chris Mathews. She got a call from the wife of Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards.

Ann Coulter has gotten famous by saying outrageous things. Her book Godless was coming out yesterday in paperback and she was able to get some good press by these comments. That is how she keeps herself in the press. This is a brilliant move for all those involved.

MSNBC got the scoop by having the celebrity death match go down live during the show Hardball with Chris Mathews. This is helping their ratings and they are following up today with John Edwards himself on the show.

He is also using the sound bites to promote his campaign. Every time Ann Coulter makes a "fagity" statement the Democratic candidate get more campaign contributions.

Obviously Ann Coulter is loving this press. This is what she feeds on. Possibly bad symbolism considering how skinny she is. They spent a lot of time talking about "chubby legs" otherwise I would have left the issue alone!

But the saddest part of this is that Elizabeth Edwards was actually hurt by the comment relating to her son that passed away. I dont think anyone realizes that she is  still hurt. It may seem like a campaign  strategy for John but  Elizabeth Edwards might be beyond  reproach.

Is Arnold Schwarzenegger Running as Independent Secretary of State for Bloomberg

Bloomberg_schwarzenegger_timeIs Arnold Schwarzenegger running for Secretary of State?

The latest developments in US politics are getting interesting. We are seeing the birth of a whole new era. Not just in the States but elsewhere as well. Former Prime minister Tony Blair spent the day with California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about climate control. Blair has just been designated Middle East ambassador for lack of a better term. There is growing need fro better communication and dialog with the Middle East and a desire for all involved to find some solution to the Palestinian Israeli conflict.

Last week Michael Bloomberg announced that he was leaving the Republican party and he became "unaffiliated". This will allow him to run as an independent. Many people are discussing the possibility of a Bloomberg - Hagel ticket as the Unity '08 alternative. Yet where does that place Arnold Schwarzenegger? We saw Arnold Schwarzenegger placed on the cover of Time next to Bloomberg just last week. The title of "Who Needs Washington?" is almost self explanatory. There is a clear sense in the country that people are tired of Washington, and maybe even the two party system!Conan_arnold

Where does that leave Arnold Schwarzenegger?

Bloomberg Leaves Republican Party to be "UNAFFILIATED"

Bloomberg
Are the United States of America ready for Political Independents ?!

Today the Mayor of New York declared himself undeclared. Well, he actually did something significant. He dis-aligned himself from the Republican Party. He is not declaring himself yet.
With the Republicans going right and the Democrats going left, Bloomberg could walk straight to the White House...down the middle.

Is he running? We cant be sure but he is definitely preparing. He is on the cover of Time magazine this week with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Title on the Time cover is "Who Needs Washington?"

So the set up is there and the background handlers are working their magic. This is a perfect situation. He is currently working for free as the Mayor in New York city.

He will have to go out to the Bible Belt and talk to the south a little more. It is going to be an interesting race.

We need change and we asked for change.
Perhaps the Michael Bloomberg / Chuck Hagel Ticket is not a joke?

"I have filed papers with the New York City Board of Elections to change my status as a voter and register as unaffiliated with any political party. Although my plans for the future haven't changed, I believe this brings my affiliation into alignment with how I have led and will continue to lead our City."

"A nonpartisan approach has worked wonders in New York: we've balanced budgets, grown our economy, improved public health, reformed the school system and made the nation's safest city even safer."

"We have achieved real progress by overcoming the partisanship that too often puts narrow interests above the common good. As a political independent, I will continue to work with those in all political parties to find common ground, to put partisanship aside and to achieve real solutions to the challenges we face."

"Any successful elected executive knows that real results are more important than partisan battles and that good ideas should take precedence over rigid adherence to any particular political ideology. Working together, there's no limit to what we can do."

Schwarzenegger predicts Bloomberg would be 'excellent' candidate

Tribute to Jerry Falwell and Thoughts on the Muslim Moral Majority Campaign

Is it even possible that the idea of religious people being involved in the political discourse of the nation is a good thing?

Jerry Falwell answered that question for the Moral Majority in the United States. The liberals will claim that the clear answer is no. Look what Falwell and the Liberty University has done to America.

I agree that his point were all very controversial. However I keep thinking that the answer is not to decrease the amount of activity in politics but to increase it, and make it more diverse.

There should be many voices.

Bill and Hillary Clinton Do Sopranos as Fred Thompson does Margaret Thatcher

Well as the media debates the content of the Bill and Hillary Clinton Presidential campaign video, other candidates are still working. The press is having a great time debating the deeper meaning of the Sopranos spoof the Clinton campaign did to chose their campaign song.
SO far the Clinton campaign is doing some brilliant marketing. They have been debating online and getting user involvement to chose and vote on what the Hillary Clinton song would be. Finally the winner has been announced and it is the song "You and I", by Celine Dion. This is inflaming the Republicans because she is a Canadian. Even worse, she is a French Canadian !

Although the video is getting decent reviews because of the Sopranos references, the suggestion of MOB ties to the Clinton family may haunt them past the comical first reaction.

Meanwhile Fred Thompson has gone to England to meet with former prime minister Margarete Thatcher. As the whole Republican Party is vying for the nomination, Thompson has lead into the top three even beating John McCain without even a mention of entering the race. He does not have a lot of experience but has been able to maintain the illusion of authority. Many say it is because of his acting career that he has stature in the public eye.
Well in another great move by the Thompson campaign, they have him siting down and looking very presidential dealing with Thatcher. She was in power when President Ronald Reagan was leading the Republican Golden Era.

Fred Thompson may not ever need to enter the race. At this rate, there should be no one left to run against him a just a few months. He may actually run uncontested for the nomination!

Hillary and Bill Clinton Spoof Sopranos in Election Video

The Hilary Clinton Campaign is getting smart at producing good media video.

Everyone in the whole news media were busy trying to decipher the Emo metaphorical references in the Mike Gravel Stone in the Pond video or Fire Burning Video.

The Clinton campaign produces this very funny and perfectly timed video. It shows that the husband and wife are still in touch with mainstream America.

The use of the Sopranos Season Finale with the Journey playing on the Jukebox and the parallel parking scene, was excellent. The whole spoof was very well made. The Republicans will start criticizing the video right now, but the piece was actually pretty good.

The song the Clinton’s chose for their Campaign is “You and I” by Celine Dion

Check out the video at :   www.HillaryClinton.com

Jerry Falwell and the Muslim Moral Majority

Jerry Falwell Religion Muslim Islam Moral Majority Politics
Jerry_falwell_front
Video discusses:

  • Republican Party
  • Presidential Campaign
  • Mitt Romney
  • Rudy Giuliani
  • John McCain
  • Terrorism
  • Moral Majority

There was a lot of Hot Conflict over his death because of the controversies in his life.

Rev. Jerry Falwell was also very vocal against the homosexual agenda. He was accused of being a bigot all of the time because of his anti gay comments. Falwell was mocked for his comments against the Teletubbies!

He was one of the Founders of Liberty University which has been in the news lately because of the large number of the college graduates being employed by the George Bush administration.

His ministries were even involved in well known court cases, between reverend Jerry Falwell and Larry Flint, the creator of Hustler magazine. The adult nude porn magazine also features cartoons and rev. Falwell was depicted unfavorable with his mother!

How he was able to communicate a message to his congregation and get them to be interested in the political debate.

As a person of morality he changed the course of history. The Moral Majority as a concept was a new one.

This country is not a Christian country. There is not an established religion. Some Christians forget that.

Falwell was able to express and make many get vocal and exercise their rights and be involved in the debate of politics. Reverend Falwell helped create the base of the Republican Party. One of those base issues was abortion, and this one single issue still has a primary role in deciding the nominee for the Conservatives.

Muslims need to start to take concrete action to help change the perception of Islam. The ability to communicate Islam and Muslims points of view in the open forum is necessary. Many Muslims are scared and hesitant to be vocal.

What are some of the Muslims values that are Common with the Moral Majority?

Freedom of Speech Freedom of Press  Freedom of Religion.

Buried 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Buried as Car Time Capsule in Tulsa

Tulsa_plymouth_1957
They had actually buried an original 1957 Plymouth Belvedere in Tulsa Oklahoma back 50 years ago.

Back in 1957 they buried a brand new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere as a time capsule.
According to the AP there were other things included with the car:

1957 Plymouth Belvedere  with

"Also buried with it were 10 gallons of gasoline - in case internal combustion engines became obsolete by 2007 - a case of beer, and the contents of a typical woman's handbag placed in the glove compartment: 14 bobby pins, a bottle of tranquilizers, a lipstick, a pack of gum, tissues, a pack of cigarettes, matches and $2.43."  Associated Press
Plymouth_belvedere_orginal_2 This is really a crazy science experiment. I remember being a kid in public school and that we all put something in a time capsule that was going to be buried somewhere and opened at some later time. Who keeps track ?
It will be interesting to see what the car looks like after it is cleaned up. Also there is supposed to be some kind of winner. The name is in the car somewhere. We will see if the story stays alive!
